On a current Pelikan M600, how is the (usually) black piece with the Pelikan logo (analogous to the "jewel" on a P 51) attached to the inner cap? Screwed on, snapped in... Is it easily removed? (I have already removed the inner cap from the outer cap.)

have you already removed the clip/tassie (the "tassie" is the beveled gold trim piece that holds the lcip in place) ? if not, grab a piece of sheet rubber, unscrew that piece, remove the clip, and you'll see that the "jewell" is glued to the threaded part. (use magnification) You have to pry it off VERY carefully. Some hairdryer might help, be patient and apply low heat for long time and not just a lot of heat and try to break it loose in a snap or you'll just break it.

Thanks! Yes I had the tassie off. I just couldn't figure out the last little bit.
