Hi thre folks
this is my first post here, Richard Binder generously referred this site to me.
I received a "gift" (more like "take this piece of -rude vocabulary- out of my sight)
It's a Ballpoint or a MP that matches my M730. The previous owner says that the ballpoint refill wasn't working right, that when he turned the cap, the point wouldn't stay out if he released the cap, coming back to original position with a spring loaded mechanism. I thouhgt "piece of cake" as he was describing the issue, since that's a symptom of BP refill inside a 0.5mm MP. But then he dug out some pieces and started to pass them on to me... I felt sick... long story short, some smart pants brutalized the cap. He took off the clip, grabbed the threads with a plier (I can fix that) the sterling pelikan logo is stucked inside the cliip retainer (possibly due to the plier thing...) and below that pelikan logo there should be a plastic piece wich is nonexistent. Also he filed the top of the cap, and couldn't dismantle it.
Now I've never ever have serviced any BP in my life, not a single twist action pelikan cap, so I don't know how I can disassemble them right. I purchased a schneider BP that matches the inner guts of these caps (been told) and learned things with the unexpensive piece. Yet, I cannot dismantle the pelikan cap.
would anybody here know (and care to share some pictures with me) what tools are needed and how pelikan twist action caps are dismantled?
thanks!
