My wife visited an MB dealer

She insists they have TWO types of Boheme Rouge FP's:

One with a retractable tip
One that has no retractible tip, and is bigger in size.

BOTH pens are in the Red/ruby stone version.

I cant find any trace of this mystery pen (Boheme Rouge) in a larger size / nib doesn't retract. I called the store, and they said they did have 2 versions. Any other dealer insists that there is NOT another version.

Help?????

(edited for better clarity, thanks Rav)

Yes, they come in two varieties. These pages from their site will show the differences:

That doesnt look like the Boheme Rouge (red stone) to me!

I'm being very specific here about this particular pen. Thanks, though.

It isn't. I was simply confirming this assertion: "She insists they have TWO types of Boheme FP's".

You could always look a little further at the MB site I linked to yourself.

Hi Steve,

there are three different version of the Boheme pens of which two are still in production.

The original smallest size has a retractible nib and only accepts cartridges; the later (but now discontinued) mid-size model has a non retractible nib and also accepts a converter (as far as I know) - those mid-size models came black resin with different colored stones; the Big Size Boheme is much larger compared to the small and mid size and has a retractible nib and cartridge fill only (only comes without a stone and silver trim; the gold trim version has discontinued as well).

I think they kept the midsize size for their roller balls.

The midsize pen has slightly different proportions to accept a converter while the small and the biggest size only differ in terms of size but not proportions.

Looks like both the small and midsize pens are being offered to you (I think retail price was the same on those; only the Big Size costs more).

Hope this helps

Thanks....

The shop told her it was a new model!!! I thought it wasn't out anywhere else yet?!

I guess it is an old one, then.

Should I be asking for a discount, if thats the case!!??

Kind regards

There's a Boheme Rouge with a nonretractable nib in my shirt pocket. It looks exactly like the pen Montblanc says is retractable. http://www.montblanc.com/products/black_re...rouge.03665.php

It accepts both a converter and cartridges.

I purchased the pen at the Montblanc Boutique in San Antonio, Texas about four years ago.
