Hi all,

I was looking for some good paper the other day and found a carton box of "Galgo" Natural Fibre paper (500 sheets), made in Spain.

The paper is 90 grs and amber-colored. Being a natural fiber, the small "fibers" are visible on the paper.

No feathering and (almost) no skipping, as this is somehow a rugged paper.

Anybody has had experience with this paper/brand?

Cheers!

I do not have what you mentioned ie the natural fibre paper.

What I have used is GALGO Laid Paper. 100gsm , Ivory color. watermarked. 100sht pack.

It is very good for FP ink. Even with my wettest writer, it does not bleed nor feather. Its quite similar to Conqueror paper but the Conq is more textured.

Yes, I saw that one too, but they only had it in a greyish kind of color which I didn't like.

You're right about Conqueror paper, I have a pack of 100-g ivory, and it's a pleasure to write on.

TMLee,

Just got a box of Galgo 100 grs ivory laid and found it excellent and very FP-friendly; very similar to Conqueror, but at a cheaper price.

Thanks for the pointer!

Great ! Enjoy !

A box ? Thats a lot isn't it ? 500shts ? Its gonna take a long time before it runs out. rolleyes.gif

I am quite fortunate here where there is a paper merchant who sells paper by the sheet and in reams etc. All kinds of paper. I inow buy selctively and my latest joy is a 120gsmm paper. Really good and FP friendly. And its not terribly more expensive than GALGO or Conqueror. I now use them to make my homemade blank journals.
