I'll be in Portland OR and Victoria/Vancouver BC later this month. Any good stationary stores?

Thanks

Hi Greg, in downtown Vancouver we have the Vancouver Pen Shop, where you can get several different brands of pens, inks by PR, Waterman, Lamy, etc, and Clairefontaine paper. Located in the Sears of Pacific Centre is Essence du Papier, which has other brands of ink including J. Herbin and various pens and papers, although the last time I was there, there wasn't any dedicated staff separate from the rest of the store so I can't say much about the service.

There's also Paper-Ya on Granville Island (which is a market type shopping area in Vancouver) which offers, as the name suggests, lots of different papers and notebooks (more Clairefontaine, Moleskine, etc) and some J. Herbin inks and dip pen inks.

Also in downtown Vancouver are the Pacific Pen Shop and Charals, but I haven't personally been to them, so I can't really say what they stock.

The last time I was in Victoria, I also found a place which sold engraved stationary and Crane's products- I believe it was Getting It Write on Broughton Street, but I think the name may have changed (I was there last month, and just recall seeing the Crane & Co logo).

Hope this helps!
