I'm getting ready to send it off for refurbishment. Is there a name for the roller-style
end of the clip? Thanks.

I think it's called a Roller Clip.

You like 'em red ripples, dontcha?

Looks like Rosewood Hard Rubber, circa 1927.

Hey, where do you find them?
Wahlnut
The pen is a Wahl "Rosewood" Side clip pen. I am away from the catalogs for a week, so I can not quote the exact model number. The clip is, as already stated by previous poster, a "Roller Clip". It looks like a # 2 size which you can easily tell by looking at the pen nib. It should say WAHL or WAHL PEN and carry a number 2 or 4 on the nib. The 2 was the most slender of these pens and the 4 was a standard size. These pens came in a few different configurations where there were more or less cap and barrel bands. Some (the earliest) had no gold bands at all, The next oldest. like yours, did not have a barrel end band, the later ones did. The pen is probably from about 1923-5. Is there a number stamped into the end of the barrel?

Wow! You guys are good. Thanks for the information. It helps tremendously.

The nib says "Wahl Eversharp 14K 2 Flexible". There is no number on the end of the barrel.
The Pen Clip says (very faintly - I haven't been able to get it to show up in any photos I've
taken) "Wahl Pen". Does this mean the nib isn't original to the pen?

Artaddict - I actually got both this Wahl pen & the red ripple Waterman pen from eBay!

Thanks again. thumbup.gif

Yes you are correct about the nib, it is not original to the pen. The correct nib for a WAHL PENs is a "WAHL PEN" nib. They are a little harder to find, but they do turn up every now and then. If it is REAL important to you, I have some. The clip information also helps date the pen more precisely. It would have been made in 1921-3
