hello,

i am wondering if anyone can tell me if duke and platinum (the japanese company--no "g" in the name) blue-black inks are waterproof.

Platinum Blue Black is indeed quite water resistant; I would put it in the same class as Noodler's near-bulletproof inks (those have some additional properties, though).

much like namiki and sailor blue-black inks???

also, would you happen to know if platinum has a blue ink as i have never seen a reference to one.

I have never tried Namiki or Sailor Blue-Black, thus I cannot tell; however, after a 20-minute soak in cold water, text written with Platinum Blue Black is just a little lighter, but still sharp and clearly readable.

AFAIK, Platinum does not produce a blue ink.
