Thanks! I am really enjoying the color of it. My SJ is the darker grey, and I liked how it was nice and neutral colored. But now that I've carried this with me, it's reminded me that variety is the spice of life. So now I need to go hunt down a red and green

Very nice! Tell me more about the jewels... are they original? I haven't seen any standard J pens with red jewels like this. Looks great!

As far as I can tell, the jewels look original. I agree that I've not seen them on a J before, but the pattern matches a normal J to the letter, and nothing looks like it has been modified. Certainly gives it a tad of character all to its own. It's sort of a smokey rust color under normal light, not 100% opaque. I'd be happy for any reference info people might have on the jewels. I know nurse pens could have jewels that were red or green, but I haven't seen them to compare (except for the side profile of the transitional nurse pen on Brian's site, which was definitely not the same). And this is obviously not a nurse pen. So, trivia nuts, you have a task. Go, go, go!

Beautiful pen! I picked one up at the local Flea market for $5, but it had the standard black jewels. In fact, I have a few Esterbrooks, but am still searching for the right nib for the pen to sing to me. I have yet to find one and as such, they sit unused in my case...sigh...
