Hello,

it seems to be a classic question, but I have a Cross foutain pen, and I would like to know more about it.
I have found it by chance 8 years ago. From my research I can say that it is a classic century II (correct me if I am wrong), but this model is not on their website.
I mainly wonder how old it is.

Here are some photos (sorry for the bad quality), there is also an inscription "Cross Ireland" on the cap.
and the converter is blue (I say that because screw-in converters are now orange).

Thanks for your enlightnment !

Well, it's green. tongue.gif

Does it look like this one?

Cross has phased out some colors over the past few years on their pens. For instance, I have a jade green ATX and a sienna Townsend that aren't currently available.

From what I have seen Cross tends to change colors frequently on the lines of traditional pens that are painted. Sometimes it looks like they will just do a run on a color scheme and that is it, other times they seem to produce a color for some time.

Interestingly, for me, they have nothing in the current like that floats my boat. If they had gold trimmed the Ruby, I might have sprung for it, but they went rhodium....

Cross seems to like green.

Thanks for the answers.

Well, I would say yes, but the photo on this page is worse than mine and I cannot see the exact color.

I've found an historic of their pens on Cross website, and it seems that this one is a 1996 greenwood Century II.

I've got other question : the flow of this fountain pen is not very good, what ca I do ? I'm new in the world of fountain pen and I don't know much. Is there some maintenance to do ? for example if ink has dried inside, should I put it in water ? or would the result be catastrophic ?

Me again.
Since my last post I've found the repair forum, and I now know that my last question was stupid ! of course, I'll try to flush it and see the result.
Thanks.
