A few weeks ago I checked out a Cross Century II Medalist fountain pen at a mall shop which lacked a converter. The store clerk stated that the pens only came with cartridges. Today I stopped by a local Office Depot store and saw a chrome Century II which apparently did have a converter in the box. What gives? Why would Cross offer some Century II models with a converter and others without?

Every Cross Century II pen is shipped with a screw in converter in the box (even says so on the Cross website).
If you need one, I can supply it for you.
