Full Version: In Praise Of Wonderful Bespoke Service...

This is just a quick note from a new member in praise of the service I've received from Conway Stewart (& Andy's Pens).
I ordered a Nelson in Crimson Blush and the pen is fantastic. The bespoke service is excellent and allowed me to get exactly the pen I wanted - and I wasn't disappointed as it's truly a lovely object. (Please don't ask for posted photos as I'm a complete technophobe). Worth every penny.
My collection is not huge (Edson blue and silver LE, Pelikan M1000, Montegrappa LE Reminiscence and soon a Tibaldi Iride) - I wanted just one (!) top-of-the-range fountain pen by an English manufacturer and I think I've got it.
All telephone conversations were a pleasure and the turnaround time very quick.
Just wanted to post this as there seems to be a fair bit of negativity sometimes towards CS and I felt that people might appreciate hearing about a positive experience.
Best wishes to all,
Mark McKenzie

I hope you will enjoy your pen for a very long time.

I agree that perhaps the criticism towards the CS brand seems a little harsh sometimes, but that is only because people hold it to higher standards that are commensurate with their prices.

The one bespoke pen that tempts me is the bronze 100 that Mary occasionally posts:

I hope she doesn't mind the link, since she uses it often herself smile.gif

If something gives the expectation of perfection it better meet them or the 'fallout' is going to be greater.

I enjoy writing with my Churchill lever filler fountain pen.
I prefer reading accurate negative information, to reading inaccurate positive information.
