Full Version: Ye Ole Art Deco Model

Can anyone point me in the direction of some info (and hopefully photos) concerning the 1930's model "art deco" pen Cross made? I assume this is the triple-banded pen in gold overlay that guided the design of Cross pens to come. With this being such and important (and rare) Cross pen, I would think there would be more written about it. Alas...no such webite...unless any of you fellow pen addicts found one rolleyes.gif

I can't show you the original, but this is an article on the Limited that Cross made a few years ago...

Thanks, Jim. I've enjoyed reading this article, and it was actually what made me want to learn more about the original. smile.gif I've seen a pic of it on a dealer's website, but I can't remember where. I'm not sure if anyone that visits this forum owns one, but if they do, I'd love to see a nice big pic of a 1930's cross pen (preferrably gold!). I know it's not a groundbreaking design, or even that special in the fountain pen world, but it does have a place in Cross history and I suppose that's why I'm interested in it. Do you know if the original was a level or sleeve filler? It seems like it was either one or the other. Oh well, I'm outta here for now. Thanks for the link!
