Anyone recommend a good quality rigid leather pen case for a Parker "51" - something to protect it loose in a busy briefcase? Thanks David

I took up the recommendation of a fellow FPN poster and started to use leather cigar cases. Seriously good and remarkably cheap on Ebay. There are some very tasteful examples out there now that to publically admit to being a smoker is akin to suffering from leprosy.

I have mine, and other pens in a non-rigid Lamy pen pouch and have done for a while. This sits in my briefcase and seems to have protected them well.

Its not a rigid case. But the leather is a good thickness and the way it is stitched gives it a robust feel.

I paid less than £10 for it too, from a high street store.

I recently got a 2 piece, 2 pen, rigid Rotring cigar like case. It is a thing of beauty, and it will hold smaller barrel pens. No Waterman Kultur inside, but it fit's my Frontiers. It goes in a matched box, with two Rotring pens, and I saw a blue one also...

Hi. I stumbled across this old posting tonight — I’m also looking for a rigid two-pen case. Couldn’t find any hint of the Rotring you describe. Do you think they’re still available somewhere? Thanks for taking time with this!

I can definitely recommend J.M.Lewertowski on the eBay. He has some really good things for thisl.

Hi,

I tend to use cigar cases more and more, have a good selection from 2-4 pen (cigar) sizes some rigid others less so, some telescopic others fixed size. You can pick them up on ebay quite often in various sizes at quite good prices my largest easily accommodates my Laban Mento which is pretty big and I have no problems getting pens like modern CS 100 and Duro or Pelikan M800 or Sheaffer Balance II in them.

Another possibility is the Waterman cigar type case more expensive (JML sells them) but if you want a pen case it fits the bill. I carry my pens in a rucksack and have never had any breakages.

I also use a leather cigar case, but some glasses cases may work as well; they're usually more bulky tough.
