Hello FPN'ers. My knowledge base of vintage Pelikans is limited, but growing. In this effort, can you help to identify the following, model and year, and does it seem correct? Cheers.

Hi,
Looks like three I have, they are M200s originally I thought from 1960-70, but general opinion is that they are 1980s just before they changed the style of the cap.
Most have plated nibs, although two of mine have 14ct single tone ones.
If I am wrong, hopefully somebody else can shed some light, as I would be interested in a bit more info.
The extra (thin) cap ring, and the lack of a ring at the filler end, suggest an M250 1985-1997.

I have a pen that looks exactly like yours. Mine dates from around 1980 -- back then I just wanted a really nice pen and didn't know about model numbers. The nib is marked "14C 585", so it's 14K gold.
Look at the engraving on the bottom ring of the cap. If, like mine, it's engraved "Pelikan W. Germany," then it was made before the unification of East and West Germany. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989, and reunification of Germany was in 1990.
My newer M400 and M620 Grand Place are engraved "Pelikan Souveran Germany".
hope this helps you narrow the dates down.
