I am not seeing the Decimo in US stores or online at known US sellers. Is it around and am I just missing it? If it's not in the yet, when is it due? The product has been out a while, right? Thank you.

There was a thread about this several months ago. I do not believe the Decimo is being distributed to US dealers for retail sale. I think it is available in Europe. Yuo might want to contact a European dealer.

Good point

Maybe that's the whole point of the Decimo. Since it's a newer version of the "Vanishing Point", they decided to make it
vanish from the stores too?

(sorry, i'm just feeling silly. I don't know much about this issue, so hopefully someone better informed will help us out here

It's probably just a marketing ploy...

I don't think decimo is officially available in the U.S. www.jpens.com is the only place that carries it in the U.S I've never bought anything from them, but others have. They only sell limited colors, though.
I know you are looking for US sellers butaUjuku in Japan is trustworthy.

I've bought Pilot pens in the past from Richie at
Cyberpens and been happy with his service and prices. The Pilot products are sourced directly from Japan and so much cheaper than the crazy retail prices Pilot set in the UK. Although he is based in the UK I'm sure he will post to the US.

Thanks everyone. And remind me, are the nib/converter mechanism on the Decimo and on the current US version interchangable?

I've heard a number of times that they are interchangeable

They are, with one exception - older VP models (still of the current model) came with nib units with a locating lug (the bit that slots into the track in the bottom half of the pen, to keep the nib unit the right way up) a bit taller than the newer ones. Older nib units may not fit in Decimo pens as there's a bit less clearance for the lugs.
All newer VP/Capless pens come with the newer style nib units, and newer spare nib units are coming with the shorter lug. Many of the older nib units are still around, though. I think Richard Binder requests that you let him know if a nib unit you're ordering is intended to go in a Decimo, so he can make sure he sends out a suitable unit.
I've got both style nib units, and both fit perfectly well in my Decimo, though, so it's probably a bit random - might fit, but might not. Any of these nib units will fit any non-Decimo VP.
I think (much) older models of the VP did use completely different units.
