Week off work so checking out the bay and other pen sites.
Saw this newly listed and thought why not take a chance.

Described as

These are 2 great fountain pens - both 9ct Gold.

The one on the right of the picture is a Waterman brand - very smart with a screw lid and a lever on the barrel for ink filling.

The one on the left is unbranded but again is 9ct gold.

Both are in very good external condition. I cannot, however, vouch for whether they actually work - they have been locked away for 50 years - I would have to assume that both would need some attention to get them working.
Please feel free to email me with any questions - I can send you other pictures or more p[recise details on the hallmarks.

Paid £65 with postage so will see what turns up.
I normally go for Parkers but couldn't resist this.
Any thoughts?

Hi .... the one on the right is a 0552 1/2 V or 552 1/2 V probably in gothic. If its a 552 1/2 V then is gold ... 0552 1/2 V is gold filled. The number should be on the end of the barrel. In any event £65 for the pair is really good. I have paid £40 for a 0552 1/2 V alone in the past and if its a 552 1/2/ V then you have bought really really well. Its worth more than £65 on its own

The one on the left I am not sure about ..... Its not a Waterman I suspect.

Neat job ..... I'm only sorry that I missed them drool.gif drool.gif

In 9ct. gold it is probably a 552 1/2 V. I can't see them using 9ct. gold filled - all the banded pens I have seen with 9ct. gold are solid and hallmarked. 9Ct. Gold is AFAIK a British thing.

Cool pens to be sure!
