White SJW

Peacock SJW in Box

I didn't see these going for the price they did. I would have guessed the White SJW do be at least double and the Peacock to be around $100. Is Peacock harder to find or is it just the fact of having the box and not inked?

I really wanted one of those pastels from that seller (he/she had about 5 or so), but I had a feeling they would sell high. If I remember correctly, some didn't go over $100, but I did see that one that was over $150! At least they are "NOS" though, according to the seller. That's definitely a plus since some of those are in bad shape elsewehre.

Is that one really white? I skipped over that auction because I thought it was pale yellow... could be a bad photo I guess.

They have a red and black. I see the black jewels the most but I have seen the red ones also. I think the jewels showed what color ink you had.

I think the photo was not the best but I seem to remember the seller also had a yellow one. I have accepted the fact that I need another job to get all the Esterbrooks. Maybe McDonalds................. dry.gif

There's also a model with green jewels too. I thought that particular example was more of a pale yellow, but by the looks of it, it is longer than the pastel, so maybe it is an SJW. Of course, bad pic and all, it does look used, and if i were going after an SJW, I'd want it WHITE, WHITE, WHITE. smile.gif

The other model is more desirable with the colored jewels as opposed to black. Price seems about right if it is truley mint with no cracks, etc. Greg would be more qualified to talk on those. He has most, if not all of them. I only have a handful of pastels.
