I owned a BP about 4 years ago but a pet peeve of mine was that it was impossible to carry in a shirt pocket because of the very weak spring loaded clip. The second you bent over it would fly out on to the floor. I was wondering if Waterman had addressed this issue with more recent models. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

I´ve got a Carene FP. I actually never use it in a pocket (I think this is characteriscally American habit), but I´ve just tested it - the clip spring is strong enough to hold the pen, even if you turn upside down.
You said you had a BP; are you planning to turn to FPs ?

My new carene island has a perfect clip. Of course it depends on the thickness of the cloth. I think no clip can grip on a thin sheet of paper, and 90% can grip to a pocket shirt. It is true that the weight of the carene makes a great difference then the Kultur.

I find the clips to be more than sufficiently strong to stay in a shirt pocket.
