O' Pelikan Know-alls
-I have one Pelikan (a 200 or 300?) which I purchased at the DC pen show from Pendemonium, I believe. It has a "Pendemonium-ized" broad squared-off nib for cursive italic and is perfect in all ways save one.
-The pocket clip curves outward, away from the pen cap. I work as a newspaper photojournalist for a small market community paper in Southern Maryland. And that clip soooo easily can catch under a camera strap, yanking the pen from my pocket.
-Three or four years ago I found another smaller Souveran, brand new on clearance for something like $10 at a Staples. One day it was in my pocket, and the next moment it was gone. And it was becoming a favorite pen.
-I would be willing to forego the esthetics of a factory perfect clip for the security of keeping the pen in my shirt pocket and ready for scrawling subjects' names in my reporter's notebook.
-Can that clip be successfully "de-hooked" so the end lies closer to the cap?
Thanks for suggestions,
