Ok folks.I did this probably a bit too fast(i always tend to rush things-part of my nature).
But as i promised on the Inky Thoughts page, here is a sample of the Delta "Puccini" blue that was given away at the LA Pen show last month.I have read that only 300 were given to pen lovers. So i suppose i'm a fortunate guy.
I have to admit it is a beautiful blue!! Here is a photo of it alongside the bottle:

I jotted down a little of my favourite American peot,Robert Frost. This ink really flows well and i like it.Since i do not have a large selection of blue inks, the only other to compare it with in my collection,is Private Reserves DC Supershow blue. Now i will admit i do not have the greatest eyesight(20/18) tongue.gif but these two are very similar. The DC was maybe a wee bit faster to dry and i used Visconti Van Gogh pens with a fine point to write with both inks. Here is the page with both in comparison:

What do you think???I like both. The Delta though,in person and not on a monitor, seems
more vibrant and delivers a sparkling quality that the PR does not.
It is truly difficult to bring colour to life on a monitor. The eyes just will never be replicated.
I think Delta have a good thing going here.

Thats my review:Short and sweet.Hope it helps.

Thank you! I was just listening to some Puccini when I noticed this post. It is a beautiful color-- I esp. like how you described it to have "a sparkling quality."

High time for a revival of this thread in the search for the perfect blue. I just received a bottle of Puccini and I like this ink a lot - too bad there is so little of it per bottle. sad.gif Anyway, can anyone tell me whether this is just Delta Blue in a Puccini bottle or really a different ink? While it is a beautiful ink, it seems pretty much like a standard blue to me.

Best,
Summer Greer
