I like the Bordeaux colour - I have a 144 in it as well as a 146.

Does anyone know if they ever produced a 149 in Bordeaux, or was it black or gold only (yeah, I know - I think there were some diamond studded crumpet catchers but am not interested in such frippery biggrin.gif

Not officially. The only real 149 variants have really been the 75th Anniversary versions in yellow, and rose gold. You mat count solid 18k and Platinum variants in addition.

I believe this is why the 149 1924 is so highly prized.

The only nice 149 variants I am aware of are customized. Paul Rossi is one example. The pens are not cheap, but they are lovely.

Nope, no 149 in that color, at least not in any of the books or literature I have or have seen. Sorry!
