Hey Ya'll
I have been hanging around the board now for the last 6 months or so and have decided I need to join in. I don’t pretend to know a whole lot about fountain pens but I have learned a great deal here.
I have owned a fountain pen since 1991 and used it to write letters or cards. Now over the last 2 years I write with them almost exclusively. I look for every opportunity to use them, especially as so much of what I do at work is becoming electronic. I came to the realization that I didn’t have to lose or break a pen to get another one. I could just get one because I like it. What really got me addicted is when I discovered the world of fountain pens on the internet. I have accumulated probably at least 20 pens, about half of which are vintage. I have become particularly fond of Pelikans but I don’t really have a focus to my collection. Almost everyday I see something else I want to try.

Any one who starts with Pelikans is a well educated penman.
