Now this pen is available in black I have become considerably more aware of its stunning aesthetic form ; yet does this alone justify the price tag?
When looking at the pictures on the WM website , I cannot help but think it is a dressed-up Carene (trim covering the nib's "true" form). Is the flow so much different as to make a real difference?

I have to say I like the blue colour. I haven't seen the black as yet. Yes it is highly priced but is currently my most sought after pen, but I don't know why. I guess it's the overall look that makes me crave it.
But does it justify? I guess that's an individual thing.

I recently bought an Edson on the green board (used), M nib.
Overall I am very happy with it. As smooth as my Sailor PG, and flow as good as my Parker 51. The nib is stiff but I wouldn't call it a "nail" as some people have. The capping mechanism is also good.
I like to write at very low angles (25-30 degrees) and it handles this very well.
I have noticed that it is harder to clear the ink out relative to my other pens.
I don't know if I would pay full price for it though, especially for a limited edition. It's my only Waterman so I can't compare it to the Carene.
