I only bought one pen for myself at the LA show. I've been wanting one for a couple of years now. t's been one of the when I have the cash they aren't around & when they pop up I don't have the cash. Just my luck right.
Anyway, during one of the few breaks I took to stroll around I found myself at Howard Levy's table chatting & checking out the new Watly & generally looking over his trays when I saw IT. Not one but 4 or 5 of them! What pen you ask? How about an Olive Ripple HR 51. This is the same material he did the 5th anniversary pen out of a few years back. MMMMM-MMMM-MMM! This is one sweet pen kids! Howard did an amazing job on them.
It came with a lustraloy cap (& looks great as is mind you) but I think I'm going to try & track down a pristine GF converging lines cap to really set it off. The broad nib is huge, wet & a pure joy to write with. I think I may end up stubbing it though, because I really like line variation in my writing.
I'll stop rambling now and show the pic.
Man I love this pen.
