I had the occasion to call Parker to buy a nib unit - I was informed they had them for the new 45's. I do not know if my 45's are new or old model. I did not know there were new or old model 45s for that matter

. Can someone elaborate?
Thanks

Maybe this
article will explain the difference. The new ones have an in my opinion horrible 'jewel' on top of the cap.

There are differences in the cap (the arrow is different, there is a black plastic "jewel" in the new pen), and also in the body, if the pen is a flighter. The modern flighter I own has the body in one piece, with a wider end (the part opposed to the lip). The older flighters I own have a plastic or metal end piece, which is about 2 mm less in diameter at the thinner end.

Does anyone know if the nib units are exchangeable between the new and the old P 45s. According to the lady at Parker - they would likely not be changeable?
thanks for everyone's time,
Badr.

The nibs are absolutely interchangeable!
