You'll get no info from me on this one.

But what a cool yet surprisingly simple concept! I'd have never thunk it.

Would love to see some pics if anyone can track them down.

Hi Rob,

interesting object. I remember using a similar device in my early school years. These were holding 2 pens, and we used them to make copies of drawings, from textbooks to our notebooks.

I quickly searched the worldwide patents at http://ep.espacenet.com/ but did not get any result with the world Signagraph. It did not have the courage to look at all Waterman patents.

Denis.

Hi Rob,

This machine you describe reminds me of a special type of drilling machine used in a production line. It is called a Gang Drill. This machine will have multiple drills which can be of different sizes that will drill multiple holes in an article simultaneously. I am sorry I don't have any info on the Waterman Signagraph, me of all people giving Waterman info to an expert on Waterman. But David Nishimura has a sample of the pen on sale. Of course you already know that. There also appear to be some reference on the Signagraph Junior in the PCA Library. I think an item like this would not be advertised in the mass media. It is a rather specialised equipment where only large corporations would use. I think you will fare better if you could look up on old trade magazines if you can find them. Good luck and do report your findings here smile.gif
