Good morning to all. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, after I ran across this site in a very roundabout way from an ebay purchase to doing a little research on pens...to FPN. The info and members here have been very enlightening. I have very little knowledge of fountain pens--and I even own one rollerball! (sorry about that).
I guess the 'king' of my stable is my mint Mont Blanc Edgar Allan Poe from 1998. I plan on selling it to have additional $ to feed my new habit.
I also just purchased, and had delivered yesterday, a black Waterman Serenite fountain pen. It's a beautiful little thing. Haven't inked and used yet, still waiting on some decent ink (I have an old old bottle of Parker, which I read may not be the best to use in fine pens).
I also own a couple of Omas Ogiva Visions (got on a closeout, and saw they were disappearing fast from the internet) in gold tone, and await those hopefully today.
My everyday pen is my little Mont Blanc MST Chopin. It's been great for everyday use.
Well, better run. Thanks again for all your knowledge and insight, and your willingness to share it with a new guy!

ps I would welcome your comments on my 'stable'--positive or negative.
pps Anyone know where to find a Pilot Namiki VP in the Mandarin Yellow? Not mint is ok; just want it in EC. Thanks.

The ownership of FPs is always positive.
Ahem, I do not see a Pelikan mentioned, but I am sure that was just an oversight brought on by the anxiety of finding and joining those with a similar addiction.
Welcome to FPN...........................................

Hello Jim and welcome from the eastern part of the Tar Heel state!
Where are you in NC? I'm in the northern part of Duplin County, ~ 1/2 way between Raleigh and Wilmington.
Sounds like you've got some very nice pens and are well infected with PAS (Pen Acquisition Syndrome). Care to post a photo or two of your pens? Which is your favorite and why?
Anyhow, hope to see you around!

Actually the roller is a Pelikan (again, humble apologies for even bring up a roller on an FP forum!!). I think it's a 200 (?)--not sure, had it since the mid-late 90's.
Thanks for the welcome.

Hi. I'm in Greensboro. Do you plan on going to the Raleigh pen show in June? I've never been to something like that, so I'm definitely gonna go.
And yeah, I'll try to get some pics up maybe this weekend. Work is busy right now.
Nice to 'meet' you!

Hey Ericcson. Just got it late late Monday and waiting on some decent ink to fill it and write! I have used cartridges (heresy!) in my Mont Blanc Chopin, so bottled ink is a new thing for me. After reading these forums, I need to try it for sure.
Will give a brief report (several great reviews already on here influenced me greatly) later.
