Muji is a retail company which sells a wide variety of household goods, including stationery. And now it is so famous in Hong Kong and some other places because of the style and the simplification. The main point is that their notebooks is so budget but in a good quality comparatively. Now they own many retail stores in the world. Do anyone know it? (It should be easy to be found in UK, where are 15 stores. And one in US...where is inside the NY Museum of Modern Art Design Store. )

For me, I own several white lined craft notebooks and use it for studying and taking notes. These notebooks are designed with nothing on the cover and the back. It just contain with a removable sticker which print out the brand, product name and code. Mostly, I remove the sticker. All of the notebooks are said that are using recycle paper!

For my FP, which is the Sonnet, is a bit rough with the paper, but which is still okay. The paper is ivory cream color and much more FP Friendly than I thought. Of course, I won't suggest you using a wet nib if you want to deal with it.

I tried Muji notebooks, but they refused to make friends with my favorite flex nibs and my writing style. Sad. I love the simplicity and the Muji-ness of everything in that store. I try to make it a point to go when I am in HK. smile.gif

Many of my oldest and most trusted notepads are from Muji. I have a long thin one which is my 'to do' book and accompanies me everywhere. It seems happy with every pen I throw at it, and all my inks too. I love Muji - I use their notepads, their post it notes, their useful boxes, their cotton wool, their slippers, and their shirts ... animal26.gif animal26.gif

They are Japanese company started in late '80s, and found in most cities in Japan. Last time I went to a store (October) they had their own version of Ohto Tasche(just silver and no marking). I buy their clothes when Igo back to Japan and if I live in Japan I'd buy furniture and small electrounics, too. They're almost better than Ikea. For some reason their papers never appealed to me but might get some next time.

I have one of their Ohto Tasche lookalikes (plain black aluminium), its a great fountain pen! I also love their sketchbooks! And their gel pens! Muji is great!
Almost too great, 'cause one of their stores is right around the corner of my working place. I have to keep myself from carrying my hard earned money straight into Muji's cash box... sad.gif

I guess if Lamy diversifies to stationery (plus everything else you can think of, and opens its own store!), it would be Muji....
