Hello to Everyone.

I have been watching this forum for about a week, and decided to join. I have been a fan of pens for a while, but only recently started to buy pens.

I bought my first Fountain pen when in high school about 12 years ago. (Forgive me I don't remember exact model. It was the only pen I lost. It was an entry-level Parker FP). However, for a while (3 years) I had been buying more ballpens. Recently, I again bought a FP and decided never again to buy a Ballpoint.

I have a certain taste (in terms of looks and style) for Cross Pens. However, every good Fountain pen is definitely appreciated.

Welcome to FPN. Pens are indeed much better and more fun than ballpoints. Do not go back, only go foward. There are many pens that need good homes.

The great part about this hobby, and this forum, is that the entry fee can be extremely low. Though atypical, a few strategic pens can satisfy also.

Hello and welcome to the Fountain Pen Nuthouse There are many vintage pens out there that need a good home. You can find them at pen shows, which I highly recommend attending. You never know what kind of a bargain you can find there.

Like you, I have come to use fountain pens all the time, and will only use a ballpoint once in a blue moon. Likewise, I see that my penmanship has improved dramatically over the past few years. Nonetheless, I am sure you will also find the reviews on different ink brands useful in these forums as well.
