I am a system administrator and love fountain pens. Since I got a Sheaffer Targa in the 70's.

jlepens, Welcome. Computers and fountain pens work very well together. Could you comment on your Sailor Sapporo?

I got the Sailor Mini Sapporo because I like the Namiki Vanishing point so much and heard great things about the Sailor nib.

First impressions:
I got the Rhodium finish, nice slivery look. The nib is buttery smooth and wet.
I have long, thin fingers and don't like fat or heavy pens. The Mini is light yet long enough for marathon writing sessions.

I especially like that the cap screws on in posting. No more fishing with a ruler under racks of computers trying to retrieve an escaping cap. You do have to be careful to start screwing the cap in with the clip in the position you want it to end in. Only seems to be one revolution to set it.

I would recommend it if you like light, short pens.

It works for me.
