Wow, those are beautiful!

They certainly are beautiful but most of them don't belong to Max and he's using several of the pictures without permission! I allowed him to use a number of my pictures when he set up his website but with no agreement to distribute them elsewhere - especially without an acknowledgement.

From the top 1, 2, 6, 7 & 8 (a repeat of 1) are pens from my collection, 5 still belongs to Tina Seiringer as far as I know!

They are very nice examples, I would certainly like a few of them in my collection.

Andyr7, if you have an issue with pics being shown where the copyright is an issue please take it up with the poster of the pics, I would not like this forum to be part of any disputes of which I'm sure you will agree.
Having said that, you must have quite a nice collection with some very rare CS's and we would encourage you to post your pics from time to time and share with us your precious gems.

Gary, there is no intention to start a dispute of any kind, but I'm sure you would feel equally affronted if somebody had used pictures of the collection that you had spent many years putting together without any acknowledgement - and there are further instances in other postings!

I'm not asking that the postings be removed, and I have already e-mailed Max (in a friendly manner) about this, as you suggest.

There is however a very good reason why we should all be vigilant about how and where our pictures are used, and that is scam ebay listings. These are becoming more widespread in the pen sales section of ebay recently. Most of these are done by copying legitimate listings but there is no reason why scammers, given the superbly detailed pictures of pens that people publish on the web now, shouldn't just use these to set up sales of totally phantom items which would probably be harder to spot.
