If I've got cracks in the cap of my HR or celluloid pens, how do I stabilize/seal the cracks?
Thanks
Jared

With Celluloid you need pure acetone from a beauty supply store, however, you need to be EXTREMELY careful with the stuff, as you can quickly do more harm than good. DWL's pen restoration videos do a good job of showing you how it should be done

The acetone works only for celluloid pens. HR is difficult if not impossible to repair because the oxidation on the surface of the rubber keeps any adhesive from sticking. Some go so far as to say that it is impossible to repair, and I rather agree.
There was an adhesive that I heard about several years ago that was supposed to work with rubber, but the cost was well over $100/ounce. I never bought it because a replacement part was cheaper.
