| When you want the job done right, you call in an Expert - an ideal pen for everyday needs. Its larger size makes this pen extremely comfortable to hold and its lusterous polymer finish over brass construction makes it just as pleasing to behold. The fountain pen is a cartridge/converter fill and is enhanced with a gold plated nib, available in M and F. |

I have several Experts II, but they´re all gold-trimmed, with two-tone nibs. Yours is from the new generation of chrome-trimmed ones, that have no plating on the nib.
Excellent pens, by the way ... (should be - I´ve got five of them).

@rique: thanks, would you mind posting some picture of your expert's nib ?
What is different between Expert and Expert II. I searched in waterman's website (www.waterman.com), there are only two kinds of expert: expert and expert city line, there is no Expert II ?

The Expert is an older version, with a different nib and a plastic body (instead of the present brass one). The two versions are compared in this thread:
http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/in...5326&st=120&hl=Check Grem´s post, on page 9; there he compares the characteristics of Expert and Expert II, and shows photos of their nibs. The nibs in my pens are all like the two-tone ones Expert II in these photos.

Most of the Experts have chrome trim, not gold. There are only two that use gold, the red dune, and one of the two black variants.

That´s true for the new Experts, but not for the older ones. All the pens in the first series of Expert II´s were gold-trimmed; I´ve got the black, red, green and blue ones. The new series, however, is all CT, except for the red and the black pens (I´ve just checked the Joon site).
