Hello,

Everyone calls me "coco" & I'm delighted to finally join the FPN. I've been reading the different forums for a month or so, enjoying the posts, and learning from them.

I'm currently on deadline for a book due March 1 ohmy.gif When I take breaks, my "getaway" is to, you guessed it, pop into FPN and read.

My passion for fountain pens was reignited a few months ago when I dusted off two gifts from many years ago (a Parker Duofold and a Yard-o-Led). The Parker Duofold, after cleaning it (and filled with PR Blue Suede) works like a gem. Thanks to this group, I chanced on someone who can fix the Yard-o-Led for me.

I have a lovely MontBlanc that was a surprise gift (after I gave the person one of my "book promo" cheap-plastic pens, one of several thousand I'd purchased for writers' conferences, she turned around and gave me her MontBlanc with the papers, ink, box). My favorite pen story.

Others: Waterman Charleston (my current writing favorite, filled with Noodlers cayenne), Parker Sonnet (PR Sherwood Green), a Paul Smith I'm getting the hang of (PR Tanzanite), and a whim Picasso on the way.

Glad to be on board, coco

Welcome to FPN. What kind of book are you writing?

Welcome. Colorado here also. Denver to be exact. What part of the state are you from? There are like 4 or 5 others on here from Colorado.

Hello again,

Thanks for the greetings. I'm wrapping up (100+ pages to go) a romance novel for Harlequin (to be released Oct 2007). I'm drinking a lot of caffeine these days wink.gif

And hello to the fellow Coloradoan (I'm from Denver, too). Nice to have no snow for awhile, eh?

Best, coco

Sounds like you have the world's best profession--writer. I'm green.

I do hope you will post your course registration dates in the future--I think I'd like to take one.

Welcome from Texas!

Hi smile.gif and welcome, Coco! I have a Charleston and a Sonnet, too. I love them both. Also love Sherwood Green. Good luck meeting your deadline.

BTW, what a cute avatar!

Welcome Coco. It's great to hear of writers around here.

When writing a love letter, what would be the most romantic ink to fill the pen that traces words of passion onto a buttery vellum page?

On the other hand, when composing the poison pen letter, what poison best fills the pen?

Now that Valentine's is past and all...

Glad to have you here. Good luck and many caffeine laden good wishes going your way.

Welcome. Good luck with the book. Iris Murdoch used a MB too.

Coco, my mother loved to read your type of romance. Unfortunately she suffers from Alzhiemer's disease and no longer reads any books. I wish she could read because reading was such an important part of her life. I can remember as a child my mother reading almost all of the time.

Hello Coco and welcome aboard the FPN. When you write a book, do you make a rough draft on paper with a fountain pen? I know some professors that still use typewriters rather than computers. Apparently, they are attached to them, much like we are with fountain pens. biggrin.gif
