Glad I discovered this wonderful forum. I've always had a fascination with nice pens but the internet allows me the chance to indulge my passions. I am left-handed and have stayed away from fountain pens and rollerballs. This doesn't keep me away from nice ballpoints. Right now I have a Waterman Carene which I love. I'm looking at some Omas pens at the moment.
I write a blog on my life with an emphasis on clothing and style. It is just a hobby with me. The blog is called "LeDandy (of Northern California)" and is at dandync.blogspot.com.
Once again, great to be here.

Went to your blog--good thing you don't draw your clothing choices from those Stooges! (I'm also a fan) And what cute little shoes with crowns!
Hope you enjoy it here, and welcome from Texas!

Glad you mentioned the Three Stooges. I remember an episode where Shemp invented a fountain pen that wrote under whipped cream. "Heavenly Daze" 1948. Nice to see some fellow Californians here. Thanks.

Welcome to FPN!

How do you like your Carene? I'm giving my husband a black lacquer Carene FP for his birthday.

Welcome to FPN, from Marin.
Fountain pens are dandy, but nice ballpoints? ;-)
I've never identified as a dandy, but I suppose I'm on the dandy side in some ways, and pens help. I wish the straight guys would be dandies instead of using the silly contrived term "metrosexual" outside of joking.
You'll fine other lefties using fountain pens, and not just under-writers. They seem to have their ways between ink, paper, and nib. And the pen people of the region have a few chances a year to meet.
I did check out the blog earlier, and it was interesting to read about the local shopping and other things I can relate to.
