I was wondering if anyone has this ink and could post a comment/opinion. I've been in search of a permanent brown ink, but I can't find a sample of what the grizzly looks like.
I would also take recommendations of other inks that might be what I'm looking for. The PR Chocolat color is seems very nice so something in that range.
Thanks

I have not used those inks, so I cannot comment on them. However, you may want to look into Pendamonium's Noodlers Eternal Brown and our own FPN Galileo Manuscript Brown. Both are lovely inks that I have not had any flow problems with.

Dear cmenice,
I first tried Eternal Brown but wasn't satisfied with the look of it. I spoke to Nathan Tardif a while ago about brown inks. I was looking for a darker more saturated color. He suggested I try Grizzly. He was spot on.
Here is a picture from my Day-Timer / Journal of both. I looked through to find both colors written with the same pen, my Delta Dolce Vita broad nib. The Grizzly ink is on the left starting with "11/14/06" I think I have 4 bottles of the stuff. I don't want to run out as it's one of the inks I rotate through.
Hope this saves you time.

PS.
The fine writing at the top is the pen turned upside down. Perfect from the factory!

is the Grizzly ink completely water-resistant, like Noodler's Black, Legal Lapis, and Eternal Brown; or is it almost-completely water-resistant, like Galileo and the UK/Russian inks? I do indeed love the way inks smear a bit when wet fingers touch the page, but on some documents this is not ideal.
By the way, Walnut is a very saturated, dark color. I don't think it looks as near-black as people say it does, but it all depends on the pen you use. On the contrary, it smears a pinkish-salmon color when wetted, just like Galileo does.

Hello,
Grizzly is a Noodlers Eternal ink.

Thanks for your reply Dave. Did you say that some of the writing in there was eternal brown? I couldn't tell what you were saying. It might just be my "new-parent" grogginess.
The grizzly looks pretty good. I might actually be looking for something a little darker, but I think I'll give grizzly a try.

The Grizzly in my (just arrived!) Ink Sampler is chalky, in much the same way as Legal Lapis. PR Chocolat more closely resembles Noodler's Beaver, to my eye.

Dear cmenice,
Congratulations! The Grizzly is on the left and the Eternal Brown in on the right. I like Grizzly better.
If you have a new baby, do you really want to write with a dark brown ink?

Right, maybe dark brown isn't a good idea. Pink maybe? (it's a girl

)
Thanks for all the input on this.
