I have a Pelikan 250 Amber demonstrator. It is a piston filler and and it has been inked a few times and rinsed well with cold water between fillings.
There is some moisture that has developed behind the ink chamber and I'm wondering if there is way to dry it out. The thing I find a little peculiar is that it is water, rather than ink, that has developed.
Any ideas?

It might work to empty it out, and then unscrew the filler knob all the way and leave it unscrewed for a good long time... a week, a few weeks, see if the trapped water slowly evaporates...

It's most likely not water but lubricant from the factory. There was a discussion, here, about that some time ago.
Most of us just decided to learn to live with it. My 250 clear demonstrator has had the same drops visible since I got it in 1999 or 2000.

My new amber 250 has these drops as well. I just assumed that it was lubricant for the piston. I bought the pen brand new with a broad stub from Richard Binder, so I am pretty sure that if the droplets were indicative of a problem he would not have sent the pen out in that condition.
