I'm in the dark, too. Maybe we're supposed to guess - so here's my guess. I've never had any experience with a Traveling Journal, but I assume - if you sign up for this - you will at some point receive a journal in the mail that other people have written in. Then you write in it and send it on to someone else. I'm also assuming that - if you sign up for this - you are making a commitment to actually write in the journal and send it on in a reasonable amount of time and not let it grow mold and mildew lying around on your desk.

Assuming can be dangerous so I hope those in the know will correct me if my assumptions are erroneous.
