Hi
I have got a question about cleaning and takin general care about barrel and cap of the pen.
My Rotring Initial has lots of silver addings - whole cap and end of the barrel are silver look like. The main part of the barrel is matt black. Looks nice but one can see marks of fingerprints and sweat on it. I think it is a problem of all matt pens (the same I have got with my waterman expert - lots of fingerprints on it).
Maybe you can help me in case of how and with what cleaning such parts of pen? not only to avoid fingerprints but also damaging of surface by sweat?
thanks in advance

Visit a fine jewelry store and ask for a polishing cloth; IMO, the best is Connoisseurs® Gold Jewelry Polishing Cloth, which can be seen at
http://www.findingking.com/storefrontprofi...&c=0&i=53207770

It is made up of two cloths, sewn together. One has jeweller's rouge embedded for cleaning silver and gold (very mild), the other is just soft cloth and is good for wiping fingerprints and light soil from all parts of the pen.
