Hello,
I have already posted a bit, but did not happen by the new members area until now. I love fountain pens and was inspired to start writing again with better instruments after reading a host of Revolutionary War period biographies containing excerpts from letters written so eloquently by people from all walks of life, or at least those with sufficient access to pens and some form of basic academic education (including self-taught). While we more or less take access to formal education for granted these days, the collective ability to express ourselves flowingly through the written word has suffered miserably in the sound-bite, business-writing age.

Oh for pitys sakes, posting without an introduction.
We will let it go this time but you mind your manners in the future.

Welcome to FPN. I, too, am amazed at the penmanship of the founding fathers. I wonder what the hand of the average person looked like or could they even write? I think we would have to admit that the fathers of our revolution were not the rank and file.

Another hearty welcome from another "Nutmegger", sitting here in our second snowstorm of the winter! (not too bad really). You've probably already discovered the Penmanship forum. There's lots other too. Enjoy!

Thanks, Bob. It will be nice when this cold snap passes. What pens do you have?
