Lennart Wennberg
Hello my fellow pen-lovers,

I´m a middle-aged Swedish Family Doctor with a big family, wife Annika and five children and a dog. As you can understand I have not much time, or money, to spend on pens. I´m therefore more a user than a collector.

I use a Pelikan M75 Go and a Platinum PGB-3000 for occasional notes. When I sign documents at work I use a Parker Frontier with italic nib. For personal notes and letters I use a Pelikan M200 with a Richard Binder cursive italic 0.9 mm.

My favourite inks are J.Herbin "Terre de Feu" and Noodler´s Zhivago.

(I have never had any major problems with my pens or the inks I have used.)

Welcome to FPN. I am a user of FP's mostly but I have collected a few the last year. I do use them all so none of them just sit.

Welcome from snowy SW Kansas! My doc uses fp's also - he uses a variety, including a Waterman Carene and a couple of Namiki VP's - he finds those handy but low in ink capacity. A long story, but my wife talked him into a custom style cast for her broken ankle last year by promising him one of my vintage pens - I can't remember which one he selected out of a choice of a half dozen. I think it was a Sheaffer Balance.

Have fun with the group!

Welcome from a fellow user-newbie.

It's more of a set of pens than a collection...............

Welcome from Stockholm of the Midwest, and the home of the American Swedish Institute!

The American Swedish Institute is located in Minneapolis, and technically I live on the "wrong" side of the river, but that's a minor detail according to the members I know.

I hope you do get a chance to come and visit the Twin Cities, and take in ASI. They have classes, fun programs, wood carving classes, language lessons, entertainers brought from Sweden and a good museum. You betcha!

I haven't checked on the fountain pen usage at ASI as I'm not actually a member. I just enjoy the parties.

Glad you're here!

Hello from another father of five. I'm new to the forum also and I don't have many pens. I love them, but I agonize over the price of them. I'm currently going back and forth over whether or not to spend $55 on a Faber-Castell Ambition. But in the end I probably will. We're happy your here.

To Elizabeth:
Thanks for the information about the American Swedish Institute. I have only been to USA once. It was May 2004 when I attended a conference on hypertension. See the photo to the left. I have also been considering applying for membership in the Vasa Order of America.

Vasa Order of America

I´m not playing any instrument myself, but I happen to be interested in the late cellist Jacqueline du Pré, and I´m the happy owner of a signed concert program from Lincoln Center 1968:

To Jason:
Thanks for your greeting . When I order pens or ink I have them delivered to my office in order not to stir up my wife...
