Now THAT BP I would buy. If only for the aesthetics.

Cool! Good thing I don't have one on my desk at work. Between that and my 12" Godzilla, it's be playtime all day long. rolleyes.gif

framebaer,

During the communist era the 'Soviet' (brand name) pen factory made a fountain pen desk set based on a rocket, I have seen two up on e-bay in the last 6 months so if you would like one keep an eye out, neither of them went for very much.

Cheers, John

Yes, I think that BP is really cool. So many people seem to forget that the Art Deco designs of the 1930's through the 1950's were in a class of their own. I can just see this pen sitting atop a "modernist" desk with an equally modernist chair. I can get into retro in a big way.

Does this spiffy pen have a name?
framebaer
It was called the Rocket Pen and was an old Retro 51 design. I don't think they make them anymore. Not very expensive--- around $15 i think.

Thanks for the info. That little gem is worth looking into.

$15? I'll bet the guy who is selling the "Benz Collection" could easily get $300 or more for one.
