At work we make our own buckslips, which are basically jotter cards. They are 3 x 8, instead of 3x5 though. The paper we use to make these is really aweful, it's around 150lbs hammermill paper. It feels like it is coated with something and my pen does not like it all.

So does anyone have any recommendations for thick paper that will take FP ink nicely and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I saw some on Crane's webiste, but it was very expensive ($40 for 125 sheets). I'm thinking that any weight north of 100lbs would work well. The only other requirement would be that I could print on the paper as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The major office supply chains usually have both cover stock and index stock on the shelf. Walmart has one or the other. You may have to experiment to finsd out how FP friendly the paper is, but it will cost a lot less than $40 per package. Of the different packages I used to have at work, none were coated.
