Interesting LeMan 100 f.p. just put on Ebay by Siamkash (of Thailand). Attractive blue marbled colour barrel with a black cap.
Looks to me like a Patrician / Laque Black Hybrid...or did Waterman ever manufacture a pen like this?

This seller seems to have the most amusing eBay listings. For instance, see:

 Ah...as a new member, I didn't realise he so well known to the forum!
Presumably, most of the pen is genuine. The only fake Waterman I have seen on the net is rather a cheaper looking metal pen - not sure which model it is supposed to represent.

I have baught a man 100 but through Mora a shop with 75 years of existence. Ebay is very risky when buying luxury items. I always stayed away from ebay.

Speerbob had one for sale recently. See:

Any body have any further thoughts on whether this pen is genuine or a blue Patrician body with a black cap?
The nib interests me because it has Waterman 1883-1983 stamped on it - not something I've ever seen on a Man 100 and I own/have owned Fontainebleau, normal black and Patrician models...

I just looked and can't find the pen.
By your description I would say it is/was a marriage of two left over parts.

The auction's finished now so you won't find it.
I followed it to about $80, then lost interest. Quite frankly, I wouldn't have paid that much for it - perhaps there was someone out there with a black barrel and a blue Patrician cap?

None of mine has this on either but I have seen one or two others on Ebay with the Waterman 1883-1983 dates so perhaps an early limited edition nib?

Didn't the Man 100 get its name from that centenary? May be the first year/early Man 100s got such a nib. The Patrician is a later, beefed up Man 100, so the section may not even belong to that body.
