HI, all
I hope the author will forgive me, but a while ago, someone posted an ingenious way of making one and 2-tier pen cases out of wood cigar boxes. I tried two and they turned out really well, even for an all-thumbs "craftsman" like me!!
Anyway, I have since discovered a large cache (maybe 30-40) of wood cigar boxes I had amassed for a project that never happened. They're all in very nice shape, in a variety of sizes, and would make superb cases for anyone with a little patience and dexterity. I'd offer these for the same price I initially paid -- between $3 and $5 each, with a few exceptions depending on the size/make. Hey; lots cheaper than smoking the cigars!!
My question is, before I measure them all and write descriptions for a post, would anyone be interested in one or more of these?
Please let me know yea or nay. Thanks for reading!

I'd probably be interested in a couple. The local religion makes cigar boxes scarce in thrift shops around here...

As a cigar smoker, I'd be interested.
Any pictures?

As far as I can remember, I had never seen a wooden cigar box before (am I naive?), but after looking at that thread you mentioned about using one to build a pen case, I love it! I'd also be interested in buying one or two if the ones you have look that nice.

Stephen... and all else
They're all pretty nice, in many different brands. Keep an eye out for a post which, as I said, will go up as soon as I can measure 'em all and write them up. Just as an aside, I even made a three-tier out of a small box... excellent for smaller pens like tuckaways and takes up very little space

Please, do offer them for sale with dimensions and pics--my wife gets all my empty cigar boxes!

Cigars can come in hard cardboard type cases, they can just be wrapped in plastic. I've seen metal ones.
Many of the more expensive cigars come in wood boxes. Some are very nice. Most hold about 25 cigars, but I've bought some cigars in wooden cases where there were only 5 cigars.
Generally the better the cigar (or at least the more it costs) the better the cigar case.
Right now I wish that I could walk outside and smoke a nice cigar, but it'a too cold.

Tom:
I'm with ya! I love the ocasional cigar, but it definitely cannot be smoked indoors unless you want to smell it for a week afterward! And it's too cold here, too!
As far as the quality of boxes vs. quality of cigar... that's generally a true rule, but I've boughts some truly awful -- albeit way overpriced -- cigars that came in amazing boxes....

You are right. If you smoke in the house or in the car, you can smell it for quite a while. Cigar stores often have a section for smokers to hang out , watch TV, read, talk. I want to try this but so far I have not.
I too have paid a lot for some cigars that I did not like. I have a few favorites, but I also try to mix it up and try new ones. SOmetimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.
