First, kudos for Braun: I think I found out about Oscar Braun through the forums here. When I called, Pam answered the phone. She was extremely helpful and informative, even answering my novice questions that had nothing to do with the sale at hand. The pen was being sent out priority that day (Wed.), and Pam told me to send a check! This certainly speaks well of the trust in the FP community as a whole.
The Knight arrived today. I agree w/ most of the positive comments about the pen in the recent reviews. I like the modern styling and the chunky, sculpted, spring loaded clip. I went for the burgundy, which is more of a red. I'm not a red kind of guy, but I'm trying to loosen up a bit
I like pens on the heavier side, and this one has some heft, slightly heavier than my Waterman Expert II (confirmed by my jury-rigged ruler "pan balance"). I like to post, and my one minor complaint is that the cap needs to be pushed on the body w/ force in order for it to stay posted, unlike the solid "click" the cap makes when it is shut. It is just too short for me unposted, 4 5/8". I need an unposted pen ~5" to rest comfortably in the curve between my thumb and forefinger.
The pen came with an aerometric style converter. I already had pens inked w/ my two bottles (Noodler's black and legal lapis), so I opted for a Pilot blue/black cartridge I had. I prefer more black to my blue/black, but I like the color.
Great pen, great price, great vendor.
