Sorry all...

I'm a newbie & i don't know how to contact an individual (i've tried the e-mail & PM but neither went through....

CHUPIE --

Where/when/how did you get your Harry Potter FPs? DO you know if they are still available? How much were they?

Thanks, Emlee-the-newbie!

Dear Emlee,

I am guessing you mean the pens in his avatar, They are produced by BIC and are available in Europe. No idea on cost.

Here is the BIC website. No idea who distributes them. Shouldn't be hard to fihure out though.

It was a HUGE and LONG and ARDUOUS hunt through foreign eBay listings last year. I'm telling you, it's a bit like looking for the pot at the end of the rainbow, but I did eventually get all that I think are out there.

I use them daily though so the "Harry Potter" on the clip has worn off mostly on them.

chupie & kkbach,

THANK YOU!!! smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

I'm on the quest drool.gif -- i have a friend going to Germany in 2 weeks. Do you (or anyone else out there) think they are still widely available in Europe?

AGAIN -- sorry for the crude way of getting to you but THANK YOU for the links to the previous conversations.

Emlee,

BIC is still distributing display packs of there pens .. so chances are good. Have your friend go to a store that sells items for grade school students. That is the market they were intended for ... but we know better. ;^)
Emlee
EXCELLENT!!!

I will send her that way and keep my fingers crossed... laugh.gif
I am shocked they didn't attempt to market these in the US with the HP craze being what it is. I know i bought some really silly stuff just because it has HP all over it (or is somehow related to HP). I think other HP fans would probably have purchased these pens even if they had never seen a FP.

OH well.... Bic's loss  THANKS again! Emlee

Definitely your BEST chance is having someone actually in Europe. You could get old and gray waiting for them on ebay. Let us know.

I think it may be worth trying to get a bunch & sell them... hmmmm eureka.gif
Especially w/ OotP out in just over 185 days.... laugh.gif and the new title out... Deathly Hallows, ya know!

Thanks, Emlee

I know. Especially considering the rampant use of quills in the books and always pulling out a bottle of ink. The whole diary thing alone means they could have done a Tom Riddle Diary and pen. I think people would really have snapped them up, despite the fact FPs aren't common here.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I think a quill/ink & diary set would have sold fabulously well, even in the States.

OK...WARNING -- confession time here unsure.gif ... THE whole reason i'm back into FPs is because i want to write with a QUILL. I just want to have that magical quality to my everyday writing... tongue.gif Well, a FP seems to keep me happy and is less troublesome than a TRUE quill (even tho i have a habit of refering to my FPs as quills....)! laugh.gif

They do have kind of a nice quill and bottle of ink set at Barnes and Noble right now. From France.

I believe Pendemonium sells quills sometimes. I know I've seen them in a few places online.
