I finally had the chance to take a couple of quick snaps of my Pelikan Epoch with a converter attached to it. Seems to work great!
For the record, I'm using a Waterman standard converter.

Disassembled, you can see the converter nestles into the cartridge-guide pretty comfortably.

Thanks for the pictures! I have been considering buying an Epoch, but I donīt want to have to use cartridges only. How do you fill the converter? Do you use a syringe?

No syringe necessary. Simply pull the converter out of the cartridge-guide assembly and fill directly from the bottle, and replace the converter into the cartridge-guide when you're finished.
The only downside to this (in my opinion) is that you'll need to flush the pen a little more frequently, as you're not filling using the pen's feed unit. Other than that, you're good to go!
