Ever seen these before? (Yes, bored, browsing the Bay drinking coffee on a snowy day before my umpteenth nap.)

They show up in the Marketplace sometimes, I would be interested in trying one. I might bid, but I'm wary of the Pelikan XF nib.

Why? I only have italic and a medium nib. What is up with the XF (although, Im not a fine nib person).

Pelikan XF nibs have a reputation of not being smooth at all... in fact most people say they are rather scratchy....
IF I wanted a XF nibbed Pelikan I would only purchase it from Richard so I was sure it wrote properly.

Pelikan EF nibs don't have the greatest reputation. I got lucky with the one I have.
