Actually, the seller has a Lamy 2000 for a good price.

Are those press bar/aerometric converters still made, and if so, where can I find one? I'm not really a fan of the red piston in my Vista Safari.

Probably a little late for an answer, but you could use the Lamy converter Z 26 which has a black piston.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but was the pen on ebay actually a lilac color?

I see one of the "Lilac" sellers say:

Please Attention:
This Lamy Al-star fountain pen is Lilac aluminum not Blue.
Please see this pen with a white light like fluorescent and you'll see the real Lilac color.
But if you see it with a yellow light, it will look like a Blue pen.

So, sounds a little fishy to me. *L*

Yep, fishy......I've got one of the "Lilac" pens, and I can't see a difference between it and a regular Blue metal overlay pen. I think that he has some sort of minor color variant and really thinks that it's different color.

I bought the same color pen, from the same seller. He insists it's lilac. I say blue. And I checked w/Lamy (cuz the thought of an actual lilac Safari was too much to resist). Lamy says it's blue. They don't have a lilac/purple/violet.

Just to update: I have seen in Sydney a new AL-Star colour, Dark Blue metallic. Don't forget about the new white and blacks with chrome clips!

But at US$88 each?!? That's *much* higher than what Savannah Green ones go for on eBay. Granted they're used, but still.

So, does anyone know if the AL-Star "Ocean blue" and "Blue Star" are the same? Then the updated list looks as follows:

Lamy AL-Star

So what colour would this model Safari be called?
I just call it la lime or lemon-yellow green.

edit- Oh blast.. I just looked at the image.. and notice that I took a shot of the side that does NOT have Lamy on the end of the barrel. Doh. Btw, the nib is Medium.

Someone posted recently about hearing at a German pen show of the upcoming introduction of the lime green Safari.

Maybe they will do a summer 2008 release only, for it.

I just had a look at the German Lamy website and noticed that they abolished the different model names for the Safari colours. They are now all called Safari - just as in the rest of the world.

We've been told that the Safari Lime is now available .

Unfortunately the gloss white 2007 special edition 2007 is now sold out. Not sure about the gloss black yet.

Gloss black is still going AFAIK.. NZ appears to have a ready supply with it.
We are getting it as standard with Stub nibs, but it is easy to change to a Normal one.

How soon Martin? Can I be number one on your waiting list?

I just received word that the white Safari has been discontinued. The Black is not only going strong, but it has been expanded to include all of the nib sizes available (it previously had been availabel OEM with a fine or medium nib only).

The glossy black seems to be a regular Safari now. It is even listed on Lamy's website. Maybe it did sell so good that they decided to keep it in production - as written in this thread.

If the "Rare" Flame Orange Safari is $88.00, wonder what these are worth?

Have never heard of a teal Safari. Could you tell us where you found the pic?

That table looks like the one used in some of the Lamy pictures on isellpens.com, but when I browsed the site I couldn't find your photo.

Is that a real color? Or is the color off? I've never seen a green one, only the new Lime pens.

It would be helpful if you could share some information about where you found this pen. I have never heard of it and I doubt that it is a new 2008 product. If the pen really has this teal color it might be some prototype that never made it into mass production. Just like this one.
